There is a government contract worth crores sitting on a portal right now. Your company can do the work. You know you can do the work. But the tender is 50 pages of bureaucratic language, compliance annexures and formatting rules, and it is due Friday, and you are one person running a business.

💵 The Model: ₹14,999 a month for unlimited bids, or ₹4,999 for a single one. Margins are strong, around 80 to 85%, because once the software is built, each new draft costs very little to produce. You keep a small team of human reviewers for the tricky bids, and that is your main variable cost.

🤑 Money Shot: : Prasanna Sankar, who co-founded the $10 billion HR software firm Rippling and calls himself India's number one coder, launched a new AI startup called Vorflux. It raised a $15 million seed round led by Y Combinator and Peak XV, with angels including Mercury's Immad Akhund and Balaji Srinivasan. Most of the team is in Bengaluru.

His pitch is sharp. Every AI coding tool today still makes you "fly the plane," approving each step. Vorflux wants to be the autopilot that flies the whole route: planning, testing, reviewing and shipping code, not just writing it. His line: "Human time is the bottleneck. Tokens are not."

🤖 Big Drop: Uber just bought Delivery Hero for $14.8 billion: Uber agreed to acquire the German food-delivery giant Delivery Hero in an all-cash deal valuing it at around $14.8 billion. It is Uber's biggest-ever acquisition. The combined company will span 99 markets and become the largest food-delivery platform outside China, pulling in brands like Foodpanda, Glovo and Talabat. To clear regulators, Uber will sell off the markets where the two overlap.

Notice how Uber paid for this: mostly with borrowed money, not fresh investment. And this is its second huge acquisition in barely a year. The takeaway for founders is to watch who is buying and who is being bought. When the giants in your space start consolidating aggressively, the window for a mid-size independent player to stay independent starts closing. Know early whether you are building to buy, to be bought, or to get squeezed in the middle.

❄️ KuhlTherm raised $1.1 million to cool AI servers. The Ahmedabad seed-stage startup builds liquid cooling for AI data centres, backed by Arkam Ventures. Takeaway: AI chips run brutally hot.

🚀 Agnikul put an ISRO legend on its board. The Chennai spacetech firm named former ISRO chairman Dr S Somanath a board observer ahead of a mission to recover an orbital rocket booster.

🧴 Naturis Cosmetics raised ₹100 crore. The contract manufacturer that makes products for over 50 beauty brands, including Nykaa and Pilgrim, raised its maiden round.
