🍽️ MenuMind: a profit copilot for kitchens
Here's a chart nobody shows you. A small restaurant on Swiggy lists 60 dishes. About 12 make all the money. Around 20 are dead weight nobody orders. And a handful actually lose money once you subtract the commission, the packaging, and the delivery fee. The owner has no idea which is which. So they price on gut, keep dead items live "just in case," and lose orders to one blurry photo of a biryani. Meanwhile the margin quietly bleeds out every single day.

MenuMind reads your Swiggy, Zomato, and POS data and hands you a short daily to-do list that makes your kitchen more money.

🛠️ Product:
It does the boring math you don't have time for. It works out what each dish actually earns after commission and fees, not what the menu price pretends. Then it spots the losers, the underpriced winners, and the combos that would sell if you pushed them at the right hour.

It also looks at your food photos and flags the ones scaring customers away, because on a delivery app the photo is the salesman. Quietly, in the background, it tests small price changes so you're not guessing whether ₹220 or ₹240 sells better. You just get the answer.

Everything lands as one card on your phone. The magic moment: you open the app at 5pm and it says "Drop the paneer wrap, bump the chicken bowl to ₹249, push the Combo A from 6 to 9pm," with the extra profit already shown after Swiggy takes its cut. One tap and it's live.

💵 The Model: ₹2,500 per outlet per month. Because it's just software, roughly 80 to 90 paise of every rupee is gross margin once you cover cloud and support. A 10-kitchen operator paying ₹25,000 a month is a rounding error if you save them even one mispriced hero dish.

🚀 The Scale Play: Start with menu and pricing, the thing that hurts today. Then creep into inventory, then buying, then a benchmark that tells every owner exactly how far they are from the best kitchen in their pincode. Own that, and you're the profit brain sitting under India's entire restaurant economy.

The natural exit is a POS company or an aggregator buying you, or your own listing once you're across enough kitchens.

🤑 Money Shot: : OYO is finally knocking on the stock market's door. Its parent, PRISM (yes, they renamed themselves last year), filed its updated draft papers with SEBI for a fresh issue of shares worth up to ₹6,650 crore, with no offer for sale.

Here's the spicy part. It's fresh issue only. SoftBank, founder Ritesh Agarwal, Microsoft, Airbnb, Peak XV, Lightspeed and the rest are not selling a single share. Every rupee goes into the company, and around ₹4,987.5 crore of it is going straight to paying down debt.

The founder lesson: when insiders don't cash out at IPO, it usually means something. They think the stock goes up, not out. An IPO that funds the business reads very differently to public investors than one stuffed with early-backer exits. For context, PRISM's net profit nearly tripled to ₹748 crore in the first nine months of FY26, and it's reportedly chasing a $7 to $8 billion valuation.

📈 Trend with Benefits: OpenAI previewed GPT-5.6, and it's a trio: Sol (its strongest model yet), Terra (an everyday model), and Luna (its cheapest). Two things matter for you. One, Terra reportedly matches last-gen GPT-5.5 while being twice as cheap, which means the AI features in your product keep getting cheaper. Two, you can't actually use it yet. It's a limited preview for a small group of trusted partners, initially restricted at the US government's request, and it isn't in ChatGPT. Broad availability is "coming weeks," with no confirmed date.

🔩 A finance ministry panel cleared a ₹1.25 lakh crore outlay for India Semiconductor Mission 2.0, now headed to the Union Cabinet for final sign-off. Takeaway: if chips are your game, the subsidy tap is about to open a lot wider.

🔋 Delhi approved its EV Policy 2026 with scrappage incentives of up to ₹1 lakh and 100% road tax exemption, effective July 1 and backed by roughly ₹15,000 crore over four years. Takeaway: the policy tailwind just got real for anyone building in EVs or charging.

🗣️ YoLearn.ai raised $500,000 in a pre-seed round for voice-first AI tutoring across 22 Indian languages, and has crossed 200,000 users. Takeaway: voice plus vernacular is the cheat code for reaching Bharat, not just the metros.
