💐 BloomBags: when the bouquet becomes the handbag
Scroll through any wedding hashtag and every bride is holding the same round bouquet in the same pose. The flowers are gorgeous and completely forgettable. For a couple who see their wedding as the biggest photoshoot of their life, "same as everyone else" is the one thing they are terrified of.

Here's what we're thinking:

💡 The Idea:
BloomBags turns the bridal bouquet into a wearable flower handbag, so the bride carries her flowers hands-free like a couture clutch.

🛠️ Product:
Instead of a bunch of stems tied with ribbon, the flowers are mounted onto a proper purse frame. The bride holds it like a designer bag, hands free, and the whole thing reads as a fashion statement rather than a floral arrangement. In photos it looks like something off a runway, and that is the point.

There are two versions. A fresh-flower BloomBag for the big day, built to survive hours of hugs and dancing. And a premium silk version for destination weddings and long lead times, where real flowers would wilt before the sangeet even starts.

The magic moment: the bride walks in holding it, and within seconds the photographers cluster and the guests reach for their phones. One bag becomes the most shared thing at the wedding, and suddenly every other bride in the group wants to know where she got it.

💵 The Model: Around ₹40,000 for the fresh-flower BloomBag and about ₹65,000 for premium silk or custom couture pieces. Because the materials are cheap relative to the price, you keep roughly 60 to 75 paise of every rupee after flowers, frame, and labour. A category where the customer is emotional and only buys once is a category that tolerates a premium price.

🚀 The Scale Play: Own "statement bridal accessory" the way a handbag house owns its logo. Start with the bouquet-bag, then extend into other wearable florals, and sell two ways at once. Direct to brides online, and wholesale to the bridal boutiques and wedding planners who already have the customer standing in front of them.

🤑 Money Shot: : Sachin Bansal wants to take Navi public. The Flipkart co-founder is lining up a roughly ₹3,000 crore IPO for early 2027, his second real crack at it after shelving one in 2022. Here is the juicy part. Before the IPO, Navi is raising its first outside cheque, likely led by Dutch investor Prosus, to set a price benchmark. And Prosus is playing hardball. Navi once floated a valuation of ₹17,000 to ₹19,000 crore. Prosus is reportedly willing to write the cheque at about ₹13,000 crore, and not a rupee more.

Founder lesson: even a founder with a legendary exit does not get to name his own price anymore. In this market the investor sets the number, and swallowing a lower, honest valuation to get the deal done beats clinging to a fantasy one. This is still in talks, nothing is signed.

📈 Trend with Benefits: Google's next big model is running late. Gemini 3.5 Pro was promised on stage in May for a June launch. It is now July, the model is still stuck in limited preview, and reports say it has slipped to around mid-month after a near-total rebuild. The main reason, per multiple reports, is deeply unglamorous: it burns too many tokens, which makes it too expensive to run at scale. Google declined to comment on the timeline.

🛵 Bengaluru EV-fleet startup TOCAL raised ₹9 crore to build electric last-mile delivery and fulfilment centres.

Takeaway: the boring plumbing behind quick commerce is still a perfectly fundable place to start.

🌏 AscentHR acquired payroll firm OS HRS, picking up its India, Japan and Malaysia units to expand across Asia.

Takeaway: in unsexy B2B software, buying your way into new countries often beats building slowly.
